Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LiveProof platform ("Service") operated by LiveProof ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
LiveProof provides AI-powered visual verification for online sellers. The Service allows sellers to certify that their listing photos honestly represent the item being sold, by comparing a listing photo against a live reference photo taken in the same session.
2. What LiveProof Certifies
LiveProof certifies photo honesty — specifically that:
- The listing photo was not digitally filtered or significantly post-processed
- The lighting conditions do not significantly alter the item's true appearance
- The same item appears in both the listing and live reference photos
LiveProof does not certify: the authenticity, quality, or condition of the item; the accuracy of the seller's written description; or that the item will be shipped as described. LiveProof is a photo verification tool, not a product authentication service.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Accounts are for individual use only. You may not share your account or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit photos that do not represent the actual item being sold
- Attempt to deceive or manipulate the AI analysis system
- Use the Service to certify items you do not own or have authority to sell
- Misrepresent a LiveProof certificate to buyers
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent free trial or usage limits
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and termination.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid plans are billed monthly. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to subscribers.
6. Certificates and Public Verification
When you obtain a certificate, your listing photo and certification details (item name, score, date, certification ID) are stored and made publicly accessible via the QR verification URL. This is necessary for buyers to verify your certificate. By using the Service, you consent to this public disclosure of your listing photo.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of photos you submit. By submitting photos, you grant LiveProof a limited license to store, process, and display them for the purpose of providing the Service, including the public verification page.
The LiveProof platform, AI analysis system, and all associated materials are our intellectual property.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI analysis is 100% accurate or that certificates cannot be misused. LiveProof is a tool to assist buyers in making informed decisions — it is not a guarantee against fraud.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiveProof is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including disputes between buyers and sellers, fraudulent listings, or inaccurate AI analysis.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your certification records may be retained to preserve the integrity of existing public certificates.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable national law. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of the jurisdiction where we are established.
